Sex Type Pilots began with Christopher Ryle's love for Stone Temple Pilots and his love to perform.

Christopher Ryle was singing in an all original band called "GROUND" when his band came up with the idea to do a tribute set to U2...Fans insisted on them doing STP due to the identical nature of Christopher's voice...Christopher dubbed the project "Sex Type Pilots" and the band went on to perform STP shows under that name until GROUND disbanded at the end of 2011....Fast forward to April of 2021...Ryle has decided it was time to do it again, except this time with a new lineup...a lineup full of STP fans themselves...There is no looking back now...They are here to stay...and to COME UNGLUED!!!
